THE GLUTEAL CIRCLE This exercise is practised by dancers, as it improves posture, tones the thighs, buttocks and abdominals; the rotation improves the hip mobility and tones the hip area. Soon you won’t need tight jeans to contain cellulite stricken thighs and bottom, as the gluteal circle also firms and lifts the buttocks. This elegant excercise can also work your abdominals by keeping them pulled in as you extend your leg behind, to the side and front.

Standing on your right leg, extend your left leg in front of you - using a chair to help to maintain balance. Breathe evenly throughout the exercises.

Squeeze your left buttock - and slowly sweep your left leg to the side, keeping the abdominals pulled in. |

| Maintain the squeeze - circle your left leg behind you. Repeat 12 – 20 times on each leg. |
