Makes 12 Bars

Preperation Time: 5 Minutes

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients:
100g Brown sugar
100g Honey
100g Butter
75g Dried apricots, chopped
35g Dried cranberries
150g Porridge oats
50g Puffed rice (available from health food shops)
50g Whole, blanched hazelnuts
50g Mixed seeds
75g Raisins
Pinch of cinnamon

METHOD:
Preheat the oven to 180C/Fan160/Gas 4.
Line a 20cm x 20cm tin with non-stick baking parchment.
Place the sugar, honey and butter in a pan and heat gently until the butter has melted and the sugar has dissolved.

Mix the rest of the ingredients together in a large bowl and add the melted mixture. Mix it all together well and spoon it into the tin. Press it down really firmly into the tin using a large metal spoon – this will help it to all stick together and not crumble once cooked.

Bake the mixture for 15 minutes in the oven. Take it out of the oven and give it another good press with the metal spoon. Leave it to cool in the tin before cutting it into squares.
